Match Report:
A scrappy post xmas game but fortunately the right result 4 Newman.
Not our usual flowing football or solidness in defence but another good result anyway. A few of us (me included) had obviously had a beer or 2 or many too much of xmas without enough or any (me again) exercise!
A much tougher game next week vs Ercanil who pushed us very close earlier on in the season when it was left to Jeff's wonder 40yard volley to seal the game late on (another supersub performance may required once again by the "speedy" secret weapon).
Sean won MOM for another energetic display and good goal in midfield, whilst Jay came 2nd with a hard-working display on the right wing, with Stan finishing 3rd with a good performance next to Sean.
Praise must also be shown to Mick and Macca who changed the game as subs - making us pass the ball much better in the latter stages.
